Simulated cash
Simulated cash is fake money used to practise investing at real market prices, with nothing to deposit and nothing to lose.
Paper trading gives you the mechanics and the feedback of investing without the consequence. The prices are real, the orders are not sent anywhere, and gains have no cash value.
The honest limitation: risking nothing feels different from risking your own money, so paper traders take bets they never would for real. That is exactly why it is worth writing down your reasoning — a thesis is still a thesis whether the money is real or not.
